Welcome to the Blackboard e-Education platform—designed to enable educational innovations everywhere by connecting people and technology.
Effective Monday, March 5th, 2012, EVERY online course will require a minimum of one assignment to be turned in WEEKLY via Blackboard to validate student attendance for the week. Attendance WILL NO LONGER be counted by attending an Elluminate session or posting on the Discussion Board. If you do not submit one assignment during the week (Monday – Sunday), you will be marked absent for that week.
Paralegal, Court Reporting Academic and GE classes: to receive attendance credit and be marked present, submit an assignment WEEKLY based on the Course Outline for that week which is posted in each class.
Court Reporting Speedbuilding class: to receive attendance credit and be marked present, submit a minimum of (1) test or (1) audit WEEKLY.
All assignments/tests/audits must be uploaded to the class through Blackboard to receive attendance credit.
REMINDER: Sage College Policy Changes for 2012 states that satisfactory attendance is equivalent to 80% or greater in the quarter. Therefore you may receive a non-passing grade if you incur two weekly absences during the quarter. Please contact your instructor if you have any questions about your attendance.
